FEAR

The guilt
of being spared
harshness
sorrow
poverty
and
despair,
pushes me
to seek,
refuge
in the
tempting lure
of destiny.


Safety
it offers
in the belief
my blessed life
is a product
of
past deeds
and not
serendipidity.
